Clooney to Us: "We're Smarter Than You"

National Review's Warren Bell, a writer for the TV sitcom "According to Jim" and thus fluent in "Hollywood-ese" has provided a helpful translation of Clooney's remarks at the Oscars:

Clooney saying: "I'm proud to be out of touch" translates to, "You may not like it, but we're better than you. We're smarter and more sensitive, and it's up to you to catch up to us, not the other way round."
