April 16, 2008Oh, Canada.Earlier this month (yes, I'm just now finally getting this posted in the Hangar) I came across a few articles that caught my attention. Our friends to the north are really enjoying their currency's strength lately. In fact they're fencing the Internet with restrictions and usage fees. Download too much? ...that'll be $5. Canadian dollars, please. Meanwhile, here in the USA, Comcast backed off of a move to limit the types of internet usage over its network. While we enjoy an open and relatively free Internet here, could this mean an Arctic wind is about to blow on our financial Internet model here? Golly, I hope not.
