Do You Have an Internet Strategy?

As we've been telling anyone who will listen for some time now... after years of hype and overselling, the Web has finally reached the tipping point. Ministries neglect the Intenet to their own great detriment.

This article projects that online purchasing will double (again) over the next few years. Meanwhile more and more donors are comfortable with donating online. And they certainly want to interact with you and consume ministry content on the Web.

Allah Sends Giant Spiders to Fight U.S.

According to a muslim cleric, Allah recently dispatched giant spiders (as big as a chair) to help defend Fallujah against U.S. soldiers.

Apparently, if the hair of these spiders touches you, your skin turns black and then all your blood cells explode. Not good.

Broadband Rules

Over the past year, we've been very pleased to see the growth of broadband Internet connections. Now, I'm getting excited. According to Advertising Age, more than half of all web surfing is done on a broadband wave. Kowabunga, Dude!

Now to read the story on AdAge.com, you'll need to register (it's free).

As broadband penetration continues, the opportunities for ministry uses for the Internet will greatly increase. The rules are changing... again!

The Martians are Coming!

The Red Planet is doing a fly-by! This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The cool part is that no one alive today will ever see this again! Not from here anyway...

Lose the Cap

Kudos to Wired.com for taking a stand on the whole paranoia over whether the words internet, web, and net should be capitalized. Read the verdict for yourself...

More from England

OK, now something meaningful.

I think the UK is ripe for a major move of God. Our client, GOD TV, was the first full time Christian network for the UK and Europe but they have now been joined by a growing list of others.

Not too many years ago it was essentially illegal to broadcast Christian television in the UK. Today there are 5 full-time Christian networks and more are on the way.

This can't help but have an effect on the spiritual atmosphere of the nation. And we at H|S have had the privilige of being a small part of this awakening. And the best is yet to come.

Blogging from the UK

I have nothing meaningful to say. But I'm saying it from England. And I'm homesick.

There you have it.
